Hey guys,

My battery cables were loose so I tightened them. I drove it around the block to check it out and when I got back I tried to start it again and no sound. I have lights, but heard nothing from the starter.

No click, nothing. Any clues?

Thanks for any help.

Check the connections at the starter. If the battery cables were loose it's not too far fetched to think the ones on the starter might be as well.

Check your battery for a leak at the positive connector...... you'll have to remove the connector to look, assuming you've still got a side post. Also, don't over tighten, if you've got a sidepost, as you will crack the battery, causing a leak.

When cables were loose you probably got corrosion in them. Take them off and clean them and the battery posts. Doesn't take much of a connection to power the lights but they need to be clean and tight to power the starter.
