Airbag light comes on sometimes...why?

I was driving to work yesterday afternoon when I noticed my airbag light was on, does anyone know why it comes on? It only comes on like once every 2 or 3 months.

It can be a variety of things. Usually it's the clockspring, but it can also be dirty connectors, faulty airbag, or even a faulty sensor(if these trucks have one).
