I am in process of building my own cluster (see other thread) abd have been playing with gages. The tach instructions were vague to say the least. Abd the seller only sells them. The manufacturer has been very helpful, but since the tach is multi engine its kinda hard to pinpoint.

At idle, the rpms seem right. But while driving the needle is all over. Can any of you make heads or tails over how i should set it up? This appears to be the norm for all these aftermarket tachs. From factory it was set to 10. I have it on 8 now to try

If you have a V8, it looks like you need to set it to "4". Those instructions are written and laid out very poorly. Somebody was trying to impress themselves with the layout.
