Well it will be easier than you say because I'd be skipping torsion bars and going to solid axle. As for the crossmember for transfer case, I can just get one out of a junkyard or fab one. I myself am not a welder, but I have access to people that are. The only way I would not go SAS was if I did get access to a 4WD frame and do that swap.
