You can still get the EP377 pump that is correct for your truck.
I could still eat baby food, but if it's $15 a plate and the steak is $20...

The Vortec pump is quite literally a drop-in replacement with twice the capacity. It's $70 for the TBI pump or $90 for the Vortec pump. I won't ever buy the "correct" pump for a TBI.

The 377 is not a low pressure pump, it fueled 454s with 4.3 injectors. Unless he is planning on aftermarket heads/ cam upgrade/porting out his TBI/and some tuning why spend extra $ and take a chance on blowing out his FPR? Just my opinion.
