98 Silverado 2500 (stock)

I recently had a few other electrical issues with the truck. Firstly, the alternator would not charge the battery with the lights on - was just a bad serpitine belt. Secondly, I kept blowing turn signal fuses - removed the trailor "T" plug and seems to have fixed that problem.

NOW my brake lights will not work. My third brake light on top of the cab works, as well as my turn signals, reverse lights and hazards. I disconnected the plug again where the "T" plug was (at the rear of the bed) and I am not getting power to the brake terminal of that plug. The 10A brake fuse inside the cab is good also.

Any Ideas???

I noticed there is a brake relay under the hood, do these have a reputation of going bad?

Thanks for any help,
