I have a 96 LT 7.4 Sub I did an SAS on, have fun. Totally do-able but it will be fun. You asked about the T-case, my recommendation is leave in the 2 wheel drive transmission and add a 208/241, your ecm and transmission will never know the difference.

As I said the Sub will remain unmolested.

Well that ride fell through. Found another on marketplace, that was a scam. This weekend I'm picking up a nice garage kept 99 with 190,000 miles.

What's rare for me is the lack of rust. Looking forward to this following me home.

One question and I would like opinions please. The Tahoe should be here this weekend. Trying to figure out how to go get it. I'm paying $1500.00 as the old fella that owned it didn't check the oil on the interstate, ran low and locked it up. It will have a replacement vortex coming with it. My question is will 2003 silverado wheels work on the Tahoe? It seems to me that I read somewhere of interference with the.front brakes. Now the opinion part. Rear main seal, water pump. Valve cover gaskets and what else should I do to the replacement before it goes in? Head gaskets? The fella is knowledgeable on it as it's out of his buddies pickup that rotted
Said it's in good shape.
Thanks
Jim

Wheels should fit fine.

How many miles on the replacement engine? If you're going to do the rear main, do the pan gasket, front main, and front cover as well. Since the front cover will be off, why not do a new timing chain also...Just depends on how far you want to go for a little extra piece of mind. Much easier now while its out.
