hi
installing msd 8366 dist and msd 8226 coil with ac delco stock ac43 plugs with msd 8.5 super conductor wires. I am not going with the control box......yet. Shouldn't I broaden the gap a bit on the plugs and if so to what? Should I advance the timing a bit afterwards and to what?

Thanks for all your help.

I could be wrong but you shouldn't have to change gap. Your timing is computer controlled so all you would be changing is base timing. Make sure the dizzy is not plugged into computer when setting the timing.

These things are very hard to set without a dyno, but you could probably get away with a little more gap and timing just like you said. But be sure to check the plugs after running them for a while and listen for pinging in the top end.
