You'll need to build a box or have a box built for the subs as their mounting depth of over 6" (barely) and their unique shape will make it tough.

You'll need screws to mount the subs into the sub box

You'll need the proper wires to connect the subs to the amp.

You'll need screws to mount the amp under the passenger seat.

You'll need a power and ground wire for your amp.

You'll need rca cables to run from your headunit to your amp.

You'll need a remote wire as well.

If you have a stock headunit, you'll probably need to replace that as well so you can control your sub bass and connect your amp to your headunit via rca cables.

I chose the uniquely shaped subs (square) because they require 1/3rd of the airspace that a standard round sub would need. Do you think it would be possible to build a sub box (Which I know NOTHING about, so would probably get it done by a professional) that would hold those subs under the rear seats?

The website claims they only require .66 CU. FT in a sealed box and 1.0 CU. FT max in a sealed box, but I was hoping to go ported... Which is a minimum of 1.25 CU. FT... What do you guys think?

Just go sealed... You won't have any problems with it not being loud enough with 2 L7s anyway. No reason to go ported. Plus ported is harder to get right.

I think I could probably make 1 cu. ft of air space pretty easy in a sealed box... but at the same time, I know next to nothing when it comes to sound systems. I've just been given information on what a few friends have said.

Also; I forgot to mention, I have an Alpine headunit. It already has aftermarket front speakers. (unaware of what kind, but I'm thinking they'll do fine until I have money to upgrade to new ones after the subs are done.)

I thought I might show you what I think I have in mind for a complete system. (Speakers will be done last.) I'm also wondering if the speakers would need amps of their own.

Either http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-ZX1000-1...3378910?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item5d2d625a5e

or

http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-ZX750-1-...3856947?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item1e6171a633

for the subs. (Would prefer the dual 10's.)

http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-GL710-B-...786?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e613469ca

1 12" one of those or 2 10" ones, depending on which route I go with and if I need it or not.

http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-QS60-2-B...192635071?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item5d2d5700bf

Those would be the speakers I would go with, if the ones I have NOW need upgrading.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Q-LOGIC-Q-FORM-...482435145?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item1e615bf449

The speakers would be put into those.

I also need to figure out how to plug an iPod into it, not sure if I'm going to end up wanting/needing a different "receiver/headunit" or not.

Of course, I still need to get the sub box built depending on which route I go.

Just wondering if there's anything else I'll need?

I don't know where I'll buy the subs and speakers and such from, but that was how I was able to find ALL the stuff I needed, and I live in Canada, so it's a bit challenging to find Kicker stuff up here. (All of those items except the Kick panels are refurbished, as far as I'm aware.)

You'll have to remove (or relocate) the jack and tools that are stored under the seat in order to fit 2 subs under the seat. I would probably just use one sub. It will still hit good and you won't have to take out the jack. Remember this is a truck so you don't have to pound the bass through the wall and back seat that separates the trunk and cab like you would have to in a sedan.
