still interested, trying to figure out the best way to get the speedo to work.

Look into GPS speedo kits. Thats the route im going . GPS speedo you dont need to calibrate anything, just install and go.

Have a technical question about the speed sensor , I've got an '88 c1500, I've changed the rear end from a 3.08 to a 3.73. My stock speedo is off now roughly 10mph. if I install this speedo, will I still have the same issue?

I realize this was a long time ago, but...any chance you still have those 3.08 gears?
