1997 Chevy Tahoe 5.7 Starts fine when really cold,After that hard to start (have to turn over about 10 seconds.
I was told that if I open throttle body plate a little bit will fix. Anyone ever done this? if so how much? and will this also raise idle?
Thanks in Advance for the help

Fuel pressure testing, plus scan tool investigation required.

How old are the usual "tune-up" items--cap, rotor, plug wires, spark plugs, PCV valve, air filter, fuel filter, etc?
Every sensor and ignition and fuel injection upgrade is brand new. Tdc is set correct , Fuel pressure is perfect. Once it starts it is fine.

Fuel pressure leak down after shutoff seems to be sort of common on these.

Engine is trying to start flooded on next warm start.

What were your pressure readings? 60-66 psi key on engine off is spec. Did it quickly drop down when you turned it off?

If so, leak could be either regulator, injector(s) or back at the pump. Further testing would be required to be sure.
