5.7 replaced with 5.0

So I bought a nice 96 1500 2wd with a bad 350. I have swapped up 2 other trucks from to 305 to 350, but never a backwards swap like this. The 305 was very low mileage and cheap. I have P1345, p0327, Spark control reads "retard", spark advance is over 20, insane fuel trims, and no misfires registered but feels like it.

Am I going to have to go fish at the junkyard for a 305 computer? Does it have to be from a 2wd?

You will need the 305s single catalyst exhaust and 02 sensor configuration or the 305s calibration edited with TunerCatsOBD2 or Jet DST for the 350s dual cats. Personally I did the 2nd option on the 99 Tahoe. I own a TunerCatsOBD2 setup and reflashed the 350 PCM with the 305 PCM file edited for the dual cats and tuned it from there since my L30 305 had a cam and headers.
