4wd wont engage and the 4hi light blinks

Yeaterday i tried to engage 4wd to pull a trailer up a hill and it didnt engage and just flashed. I have read that it could be the actuator but qhat else could it be if it is not that?

I would doubt its anything but the actuator.

If it isn't, it would be something internal in the t-case. It would have to be split to find out. What case do you have?

Its a 243 if its push button 4x4 or a 246 if its got auto trac automatic 4x4.

As far as i know it is the stock transfer case. I also read that it could be that i blew a fuse on the side of the dash.

So i did some testing and when i hit the 4hi button it really doesnt make a clunk, but a click and that maybe because i had the truck off any ideas???

Well today i checked the fuse for 4wd and it was blown and i put a new one in and i got 4wd back!!!
