4L60E rebuild in house?

Ok so me and my dad have been discussing rebuilding the blown 4L60E in our shop if possible since he has rebuilt several 700R4s, anything I should know? All the transmission guys around here seem to have a lips sealed policy.

Its actually easier than a 700R4. Just watch how everything comes apart. Put an updated sun shell in.
