So my 4l60e shutters when the truck is moving along around 55ish. It has been doing this for four months now but still getting me from A to B. Also, when I put the truck into reverse, it tends to lurch back and forth. I'm no expert, but i have read a lot about the TCC being common problem with this transmission. I was wondering if anyone thinks this may be the fix? The transmission has 165000 on it.
I called for a rebuild (central Ct area) and I was quoted at 2000 for a full rebuild with a three year warranty. If a rebuild is needed, are there cheaper options?
