1999 Suburban

Hi all, I see all the time GMT-400 referring to 88-98, but my 99 burb has same body as 98 and has a 5.7 vortec. But I have also seen 99 pickup with the newer body??

Yup, I've had 2 99 Burbs, so been through this before. In 99 model year, GM made the pickup in the new series,but not all models of pickups. Crew cabs were still the 98 style, as were the Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban. This continued into the 2000 model year as GM was using up the parts supply for the older bodies.
Best thing when getting parts is to have your VIN off the dashboard. That should ensure that you get the correct parts. It's worked well for me, and before the 99 Burbs I had a 1990 square body suburban ( so I used this then so I didn't get parts for a 90 pickup).
GM didn't drop all the new trucks at the same time till 2007 models came out. Even then I think they sold the older style as "2007 Classic".
