Hey guys! I've had a 1998 gmc suburban that was a choo choo truck for some time now and it's giving me some tranny issues so I would like to swap a 5 speed in, I've had zero issues with the 5 speed in both of my 1990s but I just want to know what is needed or recommend especially for the inspection side of things thanks!

If you can get an NV4500, that would be the way to go. Depending on how you drive, an NV3500 might not be up to the weight of a Suburban. You'll need the pedal assembly, and if you can find the trim rings for the shifter get them. Buy the clutch hydraulics as a complete, pre-bled set. Others have commented recently about Luk clutches being good, and I have one sitting on the shop floor with my NV3500. Whenever you replace a clutch and pressure plate, replace the pilot and throwout bearing as well.
