Yeah my phone has the light in a weird place so I can't get further away. Really bad camera too. I ordered a cheap endoscope that should be here today. Maybe it'll be better..
Jeez...I went out to try to get some material to check with my magnet and one of the fuel lines was dumping gas into the valley...
There must have been a quarter cup or more in that one back section...Don't know if any got below my rigged up bolts covering the holes...is it real bad if gas got down there or in any of the bores?the rag in back was wet...
So I scraped this area with my fingernail after I dried it and whatever that crust is seemed have plenty of magnetic material in it.... it gathered around the outside of my round telescoping pick up magnet
the sun on the back of my truck hanging out of garage may have created pressure in the fuel lines???
still not great with my phone.... The One Plus I have is notorious for poor quality pictures and videos..... My son used his i phone for this one.... even so.... focus is a bit off...Give that a try...

hopefully scope will be nice... I have got to get moving...lol
Still haven't even reassembled the first lifter..
Praying to God when it gets later and my eyes grow dim, those little springs and balls make it back home safe
There is a weird resonance sound coming from #6 area when I put my hose and listen right on the valve cover. Seems new to me... It's very subtle....Almost like if you took a microphone feedback and pitched it down a little and gave it rhythm like the lifter..
Strange....
I believe that's the same location as pictured in post #40.quick question...
Is this a dead threaded hole? It had stuff bubbling out after my test drive...I'm thinking left over oil but wanted to be sure. Can't really tell... I blew it out but still see liquid?
Not sure why I never put a bolt back. Need to check my notes to see if it was ever even there....
edit....yeah it wasn't there when I did the intake gaskets
BBC not like sbc ... instead of vent Holes, Big Blocks have a series of about Four long Slots. Can't you remove the pan from the valley and gain a clear view of the cam? I've not had a SBC intake off in over 10 years but know I could see the cam in my BBC with just the intake pulled.
Number one intake could be installed at a golf course it's shooting so hard... others are starting to follow suit... The valve covers don't have the height to stop... should have gotten tall ones..
Just up to my knuckles... I need a visit from Madge and her Palmolive...must be elbows deep in the project, good!
