1993 1/2 ton to 1 ton

I have a 1993 1/2 ton 4x4, I just got a great deal on a 1 ton 1998. My question is Will the running gear bolt on, or am I going to be cutting and welding? The motor has 30000, and the running gear has 120000. Just thinking about doing something different. Thanks looking for pros and cons..... Both are 5.7 auto trans...
