What is your fuel pressure with the engine cranking? With the engine running?

Is the gas tank appropriately full? Not "out of gas"?

How old is the fuel filter?

Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key from "Off" to "Run"?

my truck will run for a few minutes the the injectors spit air then won’t start again for several hours please help
I'm thinking through the fuel system in my head trying to figure out how the pump would suck air, and I can't come up with a reason except maybe the fuel pump casing being deformed or cracked.

Are they spitting air, or just not spitting fuel? The TBI pumps are garbage, and the Vortec pumps are a drop-in replacement. Do a fuel pressure test like Schurkey's recommending. If the fuel pump fails, yank it out, put it in your fire pit, and burn that turd.
