I put 1 ton SRW calipers, SS brake lines, and Hawk pads on my 1990 RCLB 1500, but noticed there was a bigger gap between the rotors and pads.

Is this ok and safe, or do I gotta worry about my pads falling out when they start to wear

What year did you put them on? The earlier trucks used a 1 inch rotor not the 1.25 rotor

Did you use 1/2 ton or 1 ton pads, and also, what size are your rotors - 1" or 1.25"?

I put them on a 90 - I may have the 1 inch rotors, as my DJM drop spindle was for the 88-91 regular cab model

I used 1/2 ton pads. I believe they may be 1 inch, as my DJM drop spindle was for the 88-91 regular cab model

If I remember correctly you have to switch to the 1.25 rotors to run those. Thats what I just did to my truck.
