    10 bolt on last leg...

    So the 10 bolt on the truck in my sig ate a carrier bearing, chewed up some teeth on my 4.56s, and looks like it may have messed up the eaton posi unit in it also. I was able to take it to machine shop and they re-worked the bearing seat and put on new carrier bearings and I put it back together...

When I did all the balljoints, tie rod ends, and idler/pitman arms I had the whole front end apart. My question is can I replace the upper balljoint without pulling the tortion bars? Never...

    Transfer Case Gasket?

    I will be pulling my NP241 this weekend to replace it with a reman unit. Is there a gasket or seal between the 4L60E and the transfer case? Do you just use some RVT gasket maker or what? Thanks

    Mine whining too...

    I have a used 10 bolt I picked up that had "fresh 4.56 gears" and an eaton posi. I changed the oil and threw it in. Been running it about 10k miles and on the way home Friday I noticed it whining and a light clunk when i start to coast. Tore it open today and the gears are still looking ok...
