Got a 1998 k1500 with the 305 vortec in it. I DO NOT plan on swapping it anytime soon nor do I really need or want to. motors got 50k miles on it. Im looking to find a cam that would give a little boost in power(with tuning if need be), sound good, but not have me replace every top end component...

Trucks lacking power

Have a 1998 k1500 with the 5.0 vortec, did a 230 mile drive last week with it and ever since the last 20 miles of the drive the truck has just felt sluggish and has needed to be given more throttle then usually to really get decent acceleration. Not sure if it’s converter related or air fuel...

Ticking at Idle

Have a 1998 gmc k1500 With just over 44,000 On the clock. Motor wasn't maintained in its early years so there was some issues with sludge build up but the engine has been flushed out a couple times and that issue has been remedied. However at idle im getting a ticking. No issues with the oil...
