    1998 gmc k1500 Planning on swapping out the tired 5.7 for a 383 stroker from S&J Engines. Is there any upgrade I could do on the stroker instead of the stock intake manifold from the 5.7? Would like to stay with mpfi instead of tbi or carbed.

    The truck does have a 3 inch body lift on it. Not sure if that changes anything. Talked to my local exhaust guy and he said it’s probly best to install the headers on the motor before dropping into the engine bay. Is that correct?

    Honestly from watching a few more videos, it’s seems like doing the extra work to take off the core support makes it a helluva lot easier to get inside there and have more working room
