Fuel pump relay wiring not working

I have a 2000 GMC 3500 with the 350 vortec. My relay works properly, however the wiring to activate the relay and close the circuit is messed up somewhere. I can jump the actuator and just close it with a cotter pin and things work without issue. Has anyone dealt with this before and is there a...

Blacked OEM rims/I'm no expert but...
