I guess I should also point out I paid a guy to do an LS swap on this truck and he went missing before he ever finished so I have been trying to fix this whole mess since I got it back. When I got it the wires were a mess and I had to finish wiring up the computer. So it very well could be...
I checked all the fuses inside and out and two are not working even with new fuses. They are fuses 8 and 14 which is crank and illum. Which could be the problem how would I go about checking this?
So, I don’t know if it’s a fuse or relay or what. I thought it was the headlight switch so I got a new one but no change. My day time running lights don’t work, my brake lights don’t work and my lows don’t work. But my brights and turn signals do work. Where do I start? I’m checking the fuses...
So I assume this is a wiring problem, I did an LS swap on my 97 c1500 and got it put back together and took it on it’s first test drive. I went to turn the lights on and nothing happened so I tried my brights and that worked. So I went down the road and came back. And turned the key off and took...
I actually found the solution this box was only somewhat put on there I pushed it on and heard power go through the truck. Now I need to figure out how to get it to crank.
Okay. So I check my battery wire all the way up to the fuse box and it runs 12.5 volts. I am looking at the old wiring harness and I noticed that there are two black wires cut that are coming from the inside of the truck
I’m going to find more long negative wire to mount on to the motor. Where do you suggest I put it? Also. I’m fixing to find my meter to see if I have power going to the fuse box or not.
The stand alone harness I bought from lsx4u.com only needed like 6 wires connected to it from the old harness. I really don’t know what this guy was doing.
Okay my ground is connected to the body of my truck then that grounded is connected to the back of the truck. It looks like it’s okay. And then I haven’t checked the power but I followed the positive wire. It has two leads straight off the battery. One to the starter and the other goes to the...
I bought an LS motor from the site lsx4u.com and I got the stand alone package. I was working on the motor and I went away for a summer internship and paid someone to put the motor in for me. Over the summer the guy is telling me that he got it started and it runs great. But when I come back...
