Quick tranny swap question

hey guys I got a quick question to ask before I go spend my money. I have a 98 K1500 5.7vortec/4L60e and my tranny is shot. I found a guy with same tranny out of a 97 Sierra 1500. I'm wanting to know if the 97 tranny will work in my 98? I'm pretty sure it will but when you look at parts...

How do I pick out shocks

I just picked up a 98 K1500 thats had a ORU straight axle kit installed with a HP44 and 12" springs on 44" boggers. The truck doesn't really have any kind of setup on the front end for shocks. What does everyone recommend? I want a good riding shock because I do plan to drive the truck on the...

4x4 problems NP243

I just traded of my 97 K1500 Z71 with a NP241 for a 97 K2500 with a NP243 and the 4wheel drive is inop. When I turn the key to the on position all the lights come on and then go off like they should including the 2hi, 4hi, and 4low lights on the push button shifter. Once I start the truck none...
