Vacula pneumatic evacuation pump. Parts and opinions.
A friend gave me this Vacula oil evacuation pump from the 90's to early 2k's. It's the kind that builds vacuum off a compressed air supply. I used it on my daughter's V6 3.5L no problem. Slow headgasket failure? Would you bother to fix?
I am betting I have a slow headgasket leak that might be getting worse. The truck has always blown bubbles in the puke tank after shut down. No oil in the water, no water in the oil (that I could see), no significant coolant consumption. This has gone on for eight years and about 50k miles...- tinfoil_hat

Stripped oil pan threads... Would rather install some kind of ball valve anyway.
Oil pan drain threads are boogered up and I am not too keen on dropping the pan right now. I have always thought it would be handy to have a ball valve for draining the oil anyway... maybe something I could attach a hose to when draining, then maybe safety wire the valve closed. Truck shifting into 4x4 all by itself.

Hard start, no start, erratic idle, random stall.

Need a little help with plug wires.
Definitely a stupid question but I am stumped. I am changing cap, rotor, plugs and wires. The wire set I got is ACDelco 718Q. Should be direct OEM replacement. Replace master reservoir without bleeding? Or just do the whole master?
My master cylinder reservoir seeps fluid where it plugs in to the master. Looks like it does it at both ports. It's a very, very slow leak. Anyone running g-05 coolant in their 5.7?
It's time to do a water pump and hoses so i figured a coolant flush wouldn't hurt. I'm thinking about ditching the Dexcool and going to G-05.
