'96 C3500 CCLB dually. How much is too much?
4.10 gear. 454/4L80E. Bell Tech 5/7 kit with Air Lift helper bags. Would like to pull a travel trailer toy hauler that will weight about 12k, 1500 tongue weight. Curt 14k weight distributing hitch. Truck is in excellent mechanical and overall condition. Upgraded injectors, cat back exhaust... -
Exhaust/cat temps...
We towed a couple hours to race this weekend. I had never noticed it before but the passenger front floorboard got really hot. Truck ran perfect. No other issues. No check engine light. Wondering if it being low, having the front deflector etc.... might be keeping air from passing underneath... -
New dash for a '92???
Friend of mine has a '92 with the typical cracked dash. I see dash covers at LMC etc... but no actual complete replacement dash. Is there such a thing?- TerryH

This is a customer truck that we did last year. This is not the sort of thing that we nornally do. We're a production shop but this is a friend of the owner sooo.... Getting ready to do injectors on my 145k mile 454. I'm going with the Five O Bosch injectors. Also doing the Delphi FPR. While we're there doing the intake gasket and valve cover gaskets. Lowered Dually guys step inside....
Few questions for those of you that have done a 5/8 on a dually..... I've looked through the shock thread but not sure which shocks are right for the dually. I had already replaced all 4 on my dually before lowering. Will they work or do I need shorter? The rear sits virtually on the bump stop...- TerryH

Little help with C3500 upper control arms........
My '96 CCLB Dually needs upper control arm bushings and ball joints. I see Moog complete control arms on Rock Auto (MOOG Part # RK621233, RK621234). Rock Auto says that they fit all of these....... Changed fuel pump and sending unit. Now no fuel gauge....
Today was fuel pump day. When we got it out of the tank the tab that locks the float in place was cracked so I decided to buy a new sending unit to be safe. Door buzzer issue......
There was no buzzer on my '96 dually when I got it. I got one from a friend's truck and put it in but now it won't stop buzzing. Goes off when the key is out but any time the key is in it buzzes. Turning on lights etc.. makes no difference. Any ideas where to start checking? I'd really like to...- TerryH
