I'm trying to get my abs light to go out but I'm not having any luck. All the cluster lights turn on when I start the truck and then they go off but once I put it in drive and start moving foward the abs light comes back on. There are no codes
So I decided to take both bulbs out of the front and Clean the terminals with a wire brush. I had already did this once but it worked this time. Thanks for the help guys.
I just noticed my passenger blinker is flashing faster than usual. Normally this would mean that a bulb blew but I checked all of them and none are bad. What else could it be?
So I still haven't fixed the leak on my drivers side, it's coming from the upper hole stamped in the body behind the emergency brake. When I spray with the hose It will start to leak but I can't pinpoint exactly where it's getting in. Any thoughts?
So I've fixed the leak on the passenger side but now I'm having trouble locating the leak on my drivers side. It's coming from the panel right above the emergency brake. I just don't know where it's getting in on the outside. Any ideas?
It's leaking from the cowl panel. On the drivers side it leaks in the corner and on the passenger side it leaks from the ac blower. How can I fix this?
Yea that's what's holding me back, I've got a pretty healthy stock 4l80e and I don't want to replace everything. I'm probably just better driving it till the wheels fall off and getting another truck with 4x4.
Ok so I'm guessing that by ifs you mean independent front suspension, how does swapping to SAS affect the ride and why is it easier to swap to SAS than to keep the stock suspension?
Living in the mud hole I do 4x4 is starting to look like a really good idea to me. My truck has a 5.7 v8 and 4l80 transmission. I'm well aware that this won't be easy but my local junkyards are full of these trucks and I can get the parts dirt cheap. What would be the best way to add 4x4 and...
Alright, so if I go pick up a harness and everything attached it should work. Does the harness attatch to anything other than the fuse panel? How do you program the remote to the truck?
I posted this earlier in electrical but maybe it'll do better here. I have a 99 c2500 regular cab. It currently has manual windows and locks. I was reading up on how to switch over to power windows and locks and it seems that I need the harness, lock actuators, and window motors out of each door...
I have a 99 c2500 regular cab. It currently has manual windows and locks. I was reading up on how to switch over to power windows and locks and it seems that I need the harness, lock actuators, and window motors out of each door as well as the door panels. Once I get these parts would they be...
The dash currently in my truck was originally in a suburban. I think that it just sat for awhile in the salvage yard and got brittle. I'm just gonna keep my eyes open for a good dash when I'm out getting other parts. If I manage to find a good one I'll probably try and skin it with fiberglass.
Looks like I'm gonna have to take a look at some kind of skin or cover. The cracks are getting worse and I highly doubt I'll be able to find a better dash anywhere in fl. I was wondering if I could tint the windows to help prevent more cracks but at this point I think it might not be worth it...
I think it's a common problem on 1990+ chevy trucks and even some up to 2007. Of course everybody will have a different opinion but if you live in a hot climate that will definitely speed up the cracking. I live in florida These dashboards are made of a really hard plastic that's kinda brittle...
