Ok hey everyone how's it going? I'm kinda new here but a member. If I did a head swap from the swirly heads to vortex heads would I need to swap cam as well? What year would work best on my 93 Sierra tbi engine

Nope, but you'll need a new intake. The cheapest option is a spreadbore Vortec intake with a flat plate adapter. A squarebore intake isn't wide enough and shrouds the throttle plates. If I did a head swap from the swirly heads to vortex heads would I need to swap cam as well?
You definitely don't have to, but if you've ever wanted to upgrade it, it's a good time to knock it out since you'll already have your rocker arms and lifter rods out to remove your heads.Ok hey everyone how's it going?
