So a SRW and DRW RCLB are the same thickness? I had hoped I could get a bit thicker frame by buying a DRW and sliding my SRW axle under it. I don't want a longer frame, Though.

I assume so, because the next thing thinner than that 1/4" ECLB dually frame is my 1500 frame at 3/16".

I'm assuming both 3500's. I keep hoping something presents itself for me to do to my truck. My frame is rotting in the front. I can still drive it now, but a time may come when I can not. I've thought about a frame swap, or swapping my powertrain into another vehicle.

What are you using for reference? Your giving numbers but what is your source? Wouldn't it be just as likely higher gross weight vehicle has heavier frame? Not just stiffer springs?

In my observations, 8 lug and crew cab are the delineators for frame thickness not 2500, 3500, or dually. Cab and chassis is much beefier and the HD beefier yet. If anyone else has seen otherwise, please post up.

Here are the numbers I was mentioning earlier; at 8600 GVW, frame gets gradually thicker going from RC, EC, CC. Dually has no impact. I don’t have the C+C numbers but I assume they are probably the CC thickness

Did you find that info online somewhere? I'm curious to know because I'm terrible and finding info on the internet like that myself.

Here’s the link:https://www.gm.com/heritage/archive/vehicle-information-kits

This is actually incredibly informative stuff to read. Has specs for basically everything on these trucks from options available to paint to dimensions and GVW, for tons of GM vehicles including all of the GMT400 years
