I had taken the fenders off for two reasons, it gave me a bit more room, and i was doing body work at the time.

I had to take the fenders off to tighten all the nuts. I also used larger grade 8 bolts because the cheap ones bent to tighten and looked like a 1/4-20 thread. I used larger 7/16 bolts instead
