I joined here because this past April (2019) I had opportunity, and jumped at buying my grandfather's only "cool" truck;
A 1992 Chevrolet 'Sport' 4x4.
A carpenter by trade he bought this truck after officially retiring to tow a boat;
When the truck neared ten years old, he bought another "work" truck (reg cab, regular box 2wd) and passed this to one of his son's, who in turn passed it through both of his sons.
So I am the fifth owner, but it has never left the family.
My truck is currently missing about half of the paint because the remaining paint is from the defective paint fiasco, and unfortunately my grandfather took such great care of it, that the paint problem raised it's head after GM was still doing warranty paint jobs.
I joined here to hopefully find tip ect on fixing the truck.
My first car is a 1970 Firebird Formula 400 which I am slowly restoring, and I daily drive a 300hp Cobalt (which I bought new).
