    No Movement - 4L60E on 1994 Burban K1500

Well, all good things come to end - as they say, it is been great owning this big girl - now she will have to go - no more mending, the road conditions here are not suitable for this kind of rig, esp with a beefy 6.5TD married to a 4L60E! I take this opportunity to thank those that made this...

Thanks Stu, No reverse no forward ... no cooler wasn't flushed but fully drained, Unfortunately - I have no access to pressure gauge and unlikely that I'd get it in this part of the world.

    No Movement - 4L60E on 1994 Burban K1500

I am sorry for starting a new thread about this when there are other related threads on here, anyway ... this has been an ongoing issue with my rig for few months: As a result of rough driving conditions both tranie and torque converter were broken: the tranie was rebuild successfully and the...

    1994 chevy burban's K1500 Torque converter crack

Ok guys - I think we got the ol girl back on the road again, the welded torque c is functioning normally, the fluid leak from the harness connector is fixed by simply lifting the connector up so it is held with it's own clips, all ok there ... all-in-all we seem to have fixed it - we hope thank...

    1994 chevy burban's K1500 Torque converter crack

Thank you all guys for your input, we put it back together again the last step was attaching the cooler pipes only for one of them to break at the flaring :( it is the lower one which is steel all the way, it is a pain to get it in correctly, after repeated removal and install, it just snapped -...

    1994 chevy burban's K1500 Torque converter crack

Thanks Erik, unfortunately - there are none to be found in this part of the world, getting it sent from the US of A is extremely expensive - so will have to make do with what we have.

    1994 chevy burban's K1500 Torque converter crack

We dropped the tranie - we found a hairline crack behind one of nut fixings on the TC, we welded it, my only concern is is that the unit will go out of balance? is it a common issue on these units?

    1994 chevy burban's K1500 Torque converter crack

Thanks Stu, you and many others have been very helpful on this great forum, yeah ... long expensive story with this: you right - pairing a 6.5 with a 4L60E wasn't smart I agree but the real cause was driving such heavy vehicle over speed-reducing ramps that are placed on fast Interstate...

Hi All, I have had no end of trouble with 4L60E trany box on my 1994 chevy burban K1500 with 6.5TD, the vehicle has been loosing ATF fluid for few months and only today I figured it was coming from a welded piece that fix onto the flexplate! what a b@stard! That mean I will have to take down...

4L60E hydraulic pipes washers or no washers

As ever this is a great forum - a big thank you to all those that make it possible, my 4l60e on a 1994 Burban K1500 been rebuilt recently, running perfectly fine after the rebuild, but suddenly it developed a major fluid leak inbetween the actual pipe and the bolt that hold it onto the tranny...

Transmission failure vs Torque Converter failure

Thank you all guys, Erik and Stu, that's very sound advice. I think it is high time to pull the trany out again but this time we will take it apart to check things out, perhaps I take closeup pics and put them on here for further advice.
