    Arteb Headlights / Taillights End-of-Life (?)

Probably nothing more than logistical logjam due to the invasion of Florida by Northerners. Displaced by Coffee and Chinese furniture.

    Arteb Headlights / Taillights End-of-Life (?)

I tried, but none of the pictures were really representative of what they look like. Just imagine you have a D-cell flashlight inside your headlamp. They don't cast enough light to tell that they're on at night, but from a distance in the daytime they appear to be on to oncoming traffic.

    Arteb Headlights / Taillights End-of-Life (?)

I used these, and I'm very happy with them. Plenty bright for their purpose. https://www.superbrightleds.com/194-led-bulb-cob-led-t3-25-miniature-wedge-base-135-lumens

Decent affordable recommendations on brake control? For Towing anything from a few snowmobiles / quads to a Small car trailer

'Affordable' really shouldn't be a metric when talking about brakes. I've been towing, building trailers and installing brake controllers for 40 years. Now I won't bother with anything but this RedArc- https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Brake-Controller/Redarc/RED44FR.html It handles...

    Towing Long Distance

Complex answer. Probably mostly because they act as a spool with any wheel slippage, but don't drive the car to the outside of the turns on trailing throttle, may even help the car turn. <shrug> guessing as I'm not a circle track guy.

    Towing Long Distance

Yes. The Detroit Locker is not directional- it acts mechanically the same regardless of torque input. Think of it this way; taking your foot off the gas has precisely the same effect in the locker as shifting between forward and reverse from a stop.

    Towing Long Distance

A Detroit Locker is *never* an open differential. EVER. That is the entire scope of their design.

They quite will pull you in, if you have a heavy trailer pushing you down the on ramp.

    Towing Long Distance

I just caught this thread; it's not clear what sort of locker you have, but towing with a Detroit Locker is VERY disconcerting and my advice is to get a hundred miles under your belt on low-speed roads to get used to the feedback. I towed 10,000 lbs. on a bumper pull equipment trailer from...

Brake pedal goes to the floor after new shoes

If they're working well, great! I was going to ask the basic and embarrassing question, "are the shoes on backwards?" Getting the long shoe on the leading side causes both poor performance and jerky/locking with no control, and adjustment just doesn't work.

    94 k1500 alignment issues

I didn't read every reply thoroughly, but 3 things come to mind; 1. Your alignment shop is incompetent. As stated many times above. 2. Your rear springs may be bent sideways causing what's called 'thrust angle'. 3. Your frame may be twisted where the steering box mounts. Those are the 'hard to...

Arteb Brazil GMT400 headlight users thread

Today was the day. I tapped into the running lamps for the 'city' lights, I used a 2 sided bright LED. Not necessary, but I can't leave an empty hole. The install went ok but for one pivot post (not adjuster) where the screw head poked through and I had to set it back in place. I used teflon...

    Brake vibration/shaking - LONG

BTDT. In my case it was a collapsed brake hose to the caliper. After 1/2 hour or so above 45mph-ish, the rotor got hot and pulsed. When you hit the brakes, it really shook. After cooling it was ok. Replaced both hoses and pads, never came back. I was surprised it didn't ruin the rotors, but hey...

    Diesel bumper cutouts, Important?

Yours should have the dual thermostat water outlet and big plastic fan, you'll have no worries. I just came back to Florida from North Georgia, towed 3500lbs going up and about 2000lbs coming back, never saw over 200* (on the gauge, whatevs lol) and instantly cooled back to 180* when the boost...
