    My 98 Suburban knocks when cold as well. Not for long, but it always has, I've owned it 2 years, it also has a rebuilt engine. 340,000 on the clock.

    The ignition switch is on the bottom of the steering colmn. Do you think that's the problem? I have a feeling its not the keys/tumblers/lock cylander, because it moves to start, off, and accessory ( backwards) with ease.

    That's nuts Smh. People do crazy **** to their cars. I have the same lower control arms, same ball joints in both. I'm pretty sure they are press in, so I bought MOOG lowers.
