    My 98 Suburban knocks when cold as well. Not for long, but it always has, I've owned it 2 years, it also has a rebuilt engine. 340,000 on the clock.

    The ignition switch is on the bottom of the steering colmn. Do you think that's the problem? I have a feeling its not the keys/tumblers/lock cylander, because it moves to start, off, and accessory ( backwards) with ease.

    That's nuts Smh. People do crazy **** to their cars. I have the same lower control arms, same ball joints in both. I'm pretty sure they are press in, so I bought MOOG lowers.

    I just joined up, I daily drive and wheel my 1998 Chevrolet suburban. I'm from Clinton twp Michigan. My truck is 4x4, has a 350 vortec, custom paint, Cai, catback, 2 inch leveling/lift kit from zone offroad. Aluminium wheels, 32 mts. The odometer reads 325,xxx.
