    NV4500 bellhousing

i have a 93 k1500 with a NV3500 that lost a countershaft bearing. I was going to buy a reman from smart parts auto but the NV4500 is only a few hundred more but I cannot find a bellhousing to mount this transmission to my 350. Anybody ever buy a new bellhousing or have any suggestions? These...

    Trailmaster lift kits

Did some searching and couldn't find too much information on trailmaster lift kits. Just bought a 93 with a 4" trailmaster lift on 34x10.50 TSLs. Are these lifts still around and is anybody running one here? And the only difference between a 4 and 6" kit would be taller blocks and tbar crank...

    What's the best starter option?

battery is a few months old, and the starter does have a heat shield over the solenoid. Ignition system is in good shape, no more the half a volt of voltage drop on power and ground side. Never had any problems until I replaced the starter. Im going to try and find a junkyard oem chevy gear...

    What's the best starter option?

I've warrantied my reman napa starter now 2 times in a year and a half, I need to buy something more reliable. Anybody have good or bad experiences with the NBS gear reduction from a 4.3 or a summit racing gear reduction? Or should I just buy a new ac delco starter?

    96+ steering shafts

I think I'm gonna try to drill 4 new holes on the same disc, have a junkyard lower shaft in the vice now and the holes for the rivets are what wore out. The holes are stretched. I'm gonna drill new holes in the old disc and use bigger bolts and tighten it up with a impact and see where it goes...

    96+ steering shafts

Has anybody just replaced the rubber in the joint? Dorman makes a help kit, I think the part number is like 31005 or around there but the disc is about twice the size then the one in my 97. I can't find any other parts locally

    96+ steering shafts

Would this be the same as a NBS pickup truck? I had a NBS bottom end in my hand to day at the pick a part but I figured it wouldn't fit my top because it had a much wider tube the the factory lower shaft.

steering shaft from a work van?

I just posted a similar question. From what I've read, I don't think 97 and 98 can swap in any shaft because those years have speed sensitive steering. My rag joint is shot and I can't find parts anywhere to fix it.

    96+ steering shafts

So what do you do when you need to replace the rag joint? I can't find any parts stores with one that will fit, and I've looked in a few junkyards but all the shafts I found had the same play as mine. I have a 97 with the speed sensitive crap.

    96+ steering shafts

I've been searching for weeks about these rag joints in the steering shafts. Mines shot, and I can't find a kit anywhere with the right size disc to repair mine, and there really isn't any information about what to do on 96+ trucks. Anybody fixed or modified theirs to the jeep style like the...

    Starter Shims/Noisy Start

I have a 97 K1500 ECSB with the 5.7 and 4L60E. This past June, the trans went out with 220,000 on it so I had it rebuilt. While it was out I did a rear main and bought a new flexplate. I replaced the starter a month later because the old one was packed full of mud and dirt. I did not use the...
