    Sorry I forgot to update with my fix. It was indeed the t-case switch not getting pushed in by the lever inside the t-case. I took the o-ring off, really tightened the threads and now it is making contact in 4hi. I’m assuming the mechanism inside the t-case is worn out and sloppy

    Okay, I picked up a 1996 sending unit (brand new, 0-90ohms). I tested both sending units and checked for ohms at the pin for the cluster bracket. On both sending units, no matter what float position, it always read low 40's. So I know i my problem is before the gauge now. I'm at a loss...

    That was my next question. I was thinking if I bypassed the pcm I would change to a 0-90 unit. Is the fuel tank pressure sensor the other 3 prong receiver on top of the pump?

    I was under the impression that the PCM doesn't effect the reading in anyway though. It simply "reads" it for other functions. Is there a chance the truck is confused since their used to be two tanks with the balancer module which is now all gone?

    Thanks for the advice. I will try that tomorrow. I thought I read that they switched over in 1998 like you mentioned, but when you google search for a cluster, they say they are for 95-99 so i'm confused.

    Hello, First post for me. This site has been very helpful since I bought my 1998 dump bed a few weeks ago. Does anyone know what fuse controls the dual battery isolator? I can follow the brown wire into the cab but I can’t trace it to the interior fuse panel.
