    Why would it be running so cool?

    I just did a coolant flush and cleared a blockage from the radiator. It was running cool before all of that, so I replaced the thermostat with a 185* thermostat, but its still only hittin 150*. The upper rad hose gets hot, but not so hot that I cant hold onto it. Why would it be running so cold...

    Hmm ok, I was doing work on the coolant system and found that the heater core was corroded and plugged, so I just bypassed it completely. I didn't see any liquid around the heatercore when I pulled the cover off under the dash. Hopefully its just some residual water from the AC

    Alright Ill check that next. One thing I noticed when I was flushing the coolant was that when I pulled the drain plug, only half of the radiator drained.     Im not getting any heat coming out of my vents. The air flow seems ok, but its cold. I did a coolant flush and change to see if that helped, but no luck. What else could it be?

    What other vehicles from the same era shared the same engine thats in my 94 chevy 2500? Besides the GMC 2500 that is. Mine has the 5.7L. I like to browse through junkyards for cheap upgrades that may have been left on the engine when scrapped.
