I have really wanted to swap a L92 into my 92 K 1500. A lot of hoops to jump thru. You can get a 383 that is set up for TBI. It makes 300 hp and should make a good package

Just completed front brake work on my 92 K1500. Replaced calipers with one ton (3500) units, Brembo pads and new SS hoses. Replaced Master cylinder with a 2002 C3500 unit with 1.48" bore size. Removed original ABS components. Major difference in braking!!
If you live in California, it's a whole different ball game. You have to install a CARB approved cat for your vehicle, or you won't pass the smog test. I which they would re do the exemptions. It's still 1975 and older.

Just make sure the cat is CARB compliant. The smog place will check that convertor for the CARB numbers. If it isn't they will fail you on the spot. They will also disconnect your distributor from the ECM and verify that your timing is at zero. The distributor when disconnected becomes a stand...
