the wire ive found is this color more or less (royal blue) the wire ive seen dudes point out as the knock sensor is more of this color (dark/navy blue)

right that seems logical. But would you say that the oil left on the bolts would cause a leak? When i took them off the pan i put them in a cardboard box and there was enough oil on them for there to be some left on the carboard before putting them back on
Thanks for the response its much appreciated its my first time doing this. The oil left on the threads wouldnt get between the gasket and block or the gasket and pan and make the gasket fail would it? I didnt even think about the torque but thats a good point
Hey whats up guys i just put a new oil pan gasket on a 350 i have on a stand. I did everything right but in hindsight i forgot that my oil pan bolts still had oil on them. Should i yank it back off the block and re do it or should it be fine? If i do have to re do it will the brand new felpro...
would you put dabs in the corners on the block then gasket then another dab in the corner before putting on the pan or put the gasket on the dry block and the dabs on top of that. Thanks for the response
Why do so many timing covers for sale come without the timing marker? isnt this essential,or am i missing something? The oem cover on my 350 is attached to the cover itself not bolted to the side
