I didn't even think about it. Manual trans aren't too complicated. You have to have a few specialty tools for the nv4500. Not bad though. Hardest part was getting the 5th gear balancer off.

I swapped them when I got it. The front had that split bench that was pretty worn. It does need a new dash, but I'm not concerned with that right now. I've been debating swapping buckets into the rear. I saw one the other day and liked it.

    AC Aux Fan

I had planned on jumping a wire from the ac clutch circuit to power a relay for the fan. I'd also like to install another temp switch so the fan will come on when temps get over 210.

    AC Aux Fan

Thanks for the info. Does it wire off just the compressor clutch or does it jump off a thermostat as well?

    AC Aux Fan

So this might not be the right section, but I'm not sure where to post. Truck is 1994 GMC K3500 5.7L manual trans. This is probably a dumb question but did these trucks come equipped with a condenser Aux Fan for the AC? I've never noticed one, my ac worked fine up until last week when I started...

So no pics but some simple stiff this weekend. Changed the blower resistor and motor, cleaned the Evap while the blower was out. Replaced the AC hoses off the compressor, and replaced the radiator and coolant hoses as well. Got it on a vac now, I'll charge it up later this evening.

Appears to sectioned. It was done stupid good too. I'll get some good photos when I pull the bed.

Also found where the bed was shorted. They cut the very front of the bed and removed quite a bit. You will never notice looking inside the bed and outside. Only once you look on the bottom under the truck you can see a few spots they didn't grind perfectly. Very cleanly done

Clean it up and drive it. New paint, built 383, rebuilt trans going in in a few weeks, clean the interior up and better highway tires

Gonna paint it, lower it back to stock height and tow with it, I love the way these truck look stock. Bed needs some body work first. I'm also building a low compression 383 with vortec heads to replace the tired 350.

Well after doing alot of looking this afternoon it appears my frame was shortened and this micro bed was installed. Does it bother me? Of course not. I wouldn't have known otherwise unless yall wouldn't have asked. Still want my damn 34 gallon tank. I'll find a way to make it fit.

It was never an issue for me before lol just pissed I don't have room for a 34 gallon tank now
