Speedometer swap in a 89

I figured I'd have to do some modifications,to make it fit. I'm glad u brought up the ls. I got a 6.0 I'm going to carb, with msd box I'ma set it like I would for my demolition derby. And thinking bout a 4 speed possibly. So I'm glad u brought up the speedometer, very useful to know

Speedometer swap in a 89

I got a 89 silverado. 2 wheel drive, 8ft bed. My question is, I'm looking for a cluster. It's a budget build truck, now I noticed looking online that the 89 Camaro cluster is close, wondering if I might have to cut the lower part off, and maybe so securing modifications, will it swap to my 89?
