    My K1500 DD Tow Pig

Damn, I was always curious about your K1500; now it's giving me motivation for my truck.

I've got what I think are the basics down, power to switch and ground? It's when all the other **** gets thrown in it gives me a headache. Speaking of big enough pipes; I think I'm gonna try to do the Big 3 Mod, NAPA sells upgraded battery cables for a couple bucks per section, and my new...

I might take you up on that offer. I'll need to figure out a way to send you money though, I don't have a paypal or anything set up. I'll take a look into your build thread, I'm just so ****** annoyed when it comes to wiring. Wiring in general is rocket appliances to me, which isn't good when...

Late night annoyed ramblings; I'm overthinking all the wiring I need to do for the tow mirrors on my truck. I know Boost Auto Parts sells a kit to get the lights to operate dual function as marker/turn signals but there's gotta be an easier and cheaper way; I still need to order replacement...

Just a bit of a 5 AM curiosity question

454 and 6.5 trucks had the 10.5 Full float rear end I believe; if it was 350/80E it normally got the semi float; but as odd as GM was with optioning trucks, I can assume there's a hand full of trucks with the RPO for the 14-Bolt FF.

Just a bit of a 5 AM curiosity question

Well it all depends on how deep your pockets are IMO; a crate 454 is gonna run 5-6K from what I've seen shopping around. If there's a decent machine shop/engine rebuilder near you, it could be cheaper to source a 454 from a salvage truck or something, perform a basic rebuild (hone cylinders...

Her spot is the one behind that one, the person who parks in front of her just left that spot teal.

    Daily truck pics

Rough picture; but this was taken when I was following my brother home from helping him pick up his new truck; the black blob in front of the Dodge is his friend's 94 K1500.

    New tools!

No pictures yet; but I bought a set of metric impact sockets from Sears, I thought the local Sears was closing down but I guess they were just redoing the store. I also snagged an old Craftsman box from the local antique mall; it fit perfect under the back seat in my truck. Guess I need to...

Brake pedal squeak... yours too, or just mine?

My brake pedal squeaks/creaks when it's humid as **** out, or super cold. I just never really paid any serious attention to it; guess it's just one more thing to grease up.

Bought some tow mirrors for it. Broke the convex mirror trying to get it apart to take a look at the wiring; so I'm gonna order a replacement mirror and the wiring kit to separate the in glass signal and amber light on the mirror some time this weekend. Hopefully with all the overtime I've had...

The good old days "Rubbing was racing"

I think the old stuff is cooler still, not sure why though. It would be ****** awesome to see a NASCAR race run with old Winston Cup Monte Carlos, Firebirds, Thunderbirds, all the cool old cars.

The good old days "Rubbing was racing"

Piedmont, I'm about 30 minutes from Charlotte Motor Speedway; My grandpa built a couple of 50s Chevys, I think a 60 something Pontiac; my dad built a couple of Monte Carlos and I think a Pontiac and an Oldsmobile at one point. Same went for my uncles, Montes and whatnot. They all ran Open...

The good old days "Rubbing was racing"

My Grandpa raced cars like that, my dad ran in an open class car at our local figure 8 track back in Iowa, and open is the class which was run whatever you could, no limits on the cars, I've looked at getting into the hobby stock class for racing, but even though NC is the heart of NASCAR...

Yup, I'm trying to decide if I want to go bigger in the future; but that's a couple years off at this rate. Can't decide if I want to run 305/70r16s or downsize to 265s for the sake of daily driving.
