    Air Conditioning Problems?

The Schrader valve is the leak. The cap will not hold the freon in the AC system. You will need to get a Schrader valve tool to remove it. The tool is usually a little longer for AC system Schrader valves compared to tire Schrader valve tools. Remove the Schrader valve slowly. There may still...

My Final Upgrades ....pushing the limit

I want to hear that monster! Post a video when the exhaust is done.

Hit a dead end, need new diagnostic ideas!!

Just an FYI: Camshaft retard offset will not read correctly with the engine below 1000 rpm. You'll get the correct reading at or above 1100 rpm. I usually set it at 1200 rpm.

    Transmission Question

Shift solenoids are internal but they are attached to the valve body. Remove the pan and they are right there.

Your right about the power and crossover point. I suggested 80hz until he gets subs. After that, raising the crossover point would be a good. As far as amp suggestions, keep to the name brands. Sony, Kenwood, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, Pioneer, all make very good, low power 4 channel...

    Oil Cooler Line delete

You've got it. 3/8 NPT I actually had the correct fittings in my stash of air hose fittings.

    Oil Cooler Line delete

O.K. I misunderstood the temp gauge thing. My apologies. It sounds like the gauge is accurate enough. If the truck is staying close to the 70C mark, then I think your good. Deleting the oil cooler lines won't change that temp. You will see a rise in kPa oil pressure. Mine gained roughly 8psi of...

    Oil Cooler Line delete

Rodger that. It's more than likely an inaccurate gauge. I did delete my oil cooler lines before my engine spun a rod bearing. I saw no rise it engine temps. With my new engine, I went back to the oil cooler lines, but I made my own with barbed fittings/fuel injection clamps/fuel line. I keep a...

Yep, but remanufactured 4 bolt long blocks usually cost more.

    Mobil1 High Mileage 5w-30?

I switched to Mobil 1 some 30,000miles ago on my old engine. It definitely cleaned it out. The engine did spin the #1 rod bearing at 196,000 miles and the old long block is sitting on an engine stand not more than 5 feet away from me. It looks very clean for the mileage. My new engine will get...

70C=158F 100C=212F 125C=257F Your truck should run between 88C (190.4F) and 99C (210.2F) with a 90C (194F) thermostat in it. I've never seen a Celsius thermostat before so don't quote me on the exact thermostat temp for your truck. Check that, now that I think about it, I have seen 90C stamped...

    Need speaker help!!!

I run a Fosgate R400-4D in three channel mode (rear channels bridged for a 12" sub). It's not a cheap amp. I like it because it's a very small class-D amp, but very clean and powerful for it's size. What you need to look for is an amp with 40 to 75 watts RMS per channel into a 4ohm load. It...

    Need speaker help!!!

Yes. On several different vehicles. One was similar to the OP's application. It was a 70's single cab square body pickup with a old school headliner in it. The headliner had a shelf in the front with two 4" Infinity coaxial speakers and two 4" pods behind the occupant's head. Same type of...

    Need speaker help!!!

As implied earlier in this thread, any decent 4 channel amp will run eight 4ohm speakers (two per channel wired in parallel). You will need to check the specs of the amp to make sure each channel is 2ohm stable. You will also need to make sure the speakers you buy are all 4ohm each. Of course...
