You should find a different style camo wrap that looks close color wise and cut out a 18" or so bowtie and put it in the center. It might look cool.

I thought about that but I like how it's set up right now. I'm for sure getting a new 1500hd badge and then I think I want a z71 in the opposing corner. I don't need another Chevrolet bow tie as the 1500hd badge already has one on it. Maybe a vortec badge? Or maybe silverado. I'd like to go with a z71 badge though I think. I don't want too much crap on the gate to distract from the wrap but it looks really bare. I also need to buy a cap for the top of the gate to cover up my mess of wrinkles and the extremely terrible cut I made up there for a seam. I don't know how long the wrap will last since I did such a junk job. But I'm sure I can get another one cheap. You should find a different style camo wrap that looks close color wise and cut out a 18" or so bowtie and put it in the center. It might look cool.
I don't think so. I have enough forward lighting already. I think I'm just gonna enjoy the diesel bumper as it was meant to be.Looks real nice with the new rims. Are you going to run any lights in the bumper holes?

There's more to come. With the more expendable income I've been able to throw more stuff at it. I'm really happy I can actually accomplish things on it now instead of just driving it all the time. It's getting to where I want it. Next up is a total brake system overhaul. I'll be working on the axle soon too. I have a cordless grinder now so I can grind and wire wheel it. I'll be researching whether or not to fix the g80 or just throw a Detroit in it. Then I'll be getting disc parts and setting it up to put in this fall or winter I think.Between the wheels and bumper, you're starting to make this into want I want to do with mine!
It will be cleaned up. I'm committed to that. It's coming together slowly but surely. I absolutely love driving it. And I bet I will even more after I get the brakes right for the first time ever. Which reminds me. I gotta look up how to bench bleed my new master cylinder.Gah its so beautiful! Its everything I want my truck to be... Except southern ;D
The kind words mean a lot. This truck has been through so much and it still has such a long ways to go. But it definitely makes my day when my old rusty truck manages to get compliments occasionally. Let alone a complete read through its fairly uneventful build thread.Just finished reading this. The front bumper was a great score and looks good. The wrap is a learning curve, you would most probably ace it next time. Keep going, I like the way you are heading.
