This is what the cylinder head of my old Honda looked like when I was commuting almost 800 miles a week. ( 1250 kms+ ) I changed the engine oil about every 3 weeks, and I bought oil by the 4x4 case.

I had it apart to change the timing belt, and do a few other maintenance items.

When I had it apart previously to change the valve cover gasket, it was clean enough to eat off of it.

my d15b7 looked just like that when I got it. changed to mobil1 and wix filter and a little seafoam added to the oil and its now much cleaner at about 2500k after the change.

I used to run Royal Purple 10w30 but I'm too cheap for that anymore. The last oil I put in was Brad Penn 10w30, price is a deciding factor and it is quality oil still. At work for less than $25 I get oil and filter with tax. Even regular prices are a good deal. I'm going to start using and recommending it to everyone after I do more testing.
