Sorry if this has already been covered
I could not find a topic that covered the problems I’m having. So I did a led light conversion install highs/lows
Switch backs on turn signals and led parking and marker lights on front. To stop hyper flash I tried the heavy duty turn signal flasher No change. I tried the led turn signal flasher with same results. So I then moved on to installing the resisters for front signals. From what I was found I installed one end to ground other to blinker light. Kinda worked, when I put on turn signals except my switch backs were working reverse solid amber and flashing white. When you started the truck they strobed back and forth like police lights the turn signals park and side markers. So I tried to install to what I believe Was believe the parking light wire. All was good. Switch backs functioned as they should no funny glitches hyper flashing fixed!! But the I moved to the tail lights, put the leds in and all the lights start to hyper flash again. So installed the resisters for rear. Hyper flash still there, but now as well as that my park lights turn on when I step on brake pedal and my climate control lights. Maybe even instrument light. So I tried changing wires to the other wire no change. There are 2 grounds a turn signal and brake light wire in my brake lights. This is a 1993 Chevy C1500 ext cab. I’m not sure what to try now. In case your wondering I was using a multi meter not just guessing.

I bought a switchback plug and play harness. this allows me to quickly revert to incandescents on the side of the road. it worked perfectly. the corner side marker light does not blink in sync with the front running/turn signal lights but that dosent bother me. the switch back lights run white of course and then blink amber.

I did not modify the rear lights at all. I see no problem with incandescent bulbs that seemingly last forever, I just wanted to test out the switchbacks.

The fast flashing turn signal is from no resistance with led bulbs therefore the bimetal flasher functions faster. Not a heavy duty flasher; thats for alot of loads trailers lots of flash incandescent bulbs. Get an Electronic flash unit. Flashes at a set rate reguardless of load, eleminate installing resisters at led location.

It kinda sounds like alot of guessing. So our trucks get a fast turn signal when the turn bulb filament is broken or an open in circuit, same with LED bulb voltage amperage to low to recognize. Are you using a wire diagram? Using multimeter is great, but it could lead down the wrong path. ie: yeah voltage! Wrong wire. What the h... It happens to everyone once. From what you say, did you get instructions with this stuff?
